On or about 23 July 2025, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for “Big Bend Draft Tube Bulkhead Replacement”.  The solicitation will close on or about 22 August 2025.   The solicitation is restricted to Small Businesses.   

Site Visit:

A Site Visit will be scheduled and additional information regarding the site visit will be provided in the solicitation via FAR Clause 52.236-27.   The site visit is tentatively scheduled for 1 August 2025.

Project Description: 

The work includes but is not limited to:

  1. Fabrication, painting, delivery, installation, and onsite testing of six (6) new draft tube bulkheads with new seals.
    1. Two individual bulkhead leafs forms one bulkhead.
  2. Removal and disposal of six (6) existing draft tube bulkheads specified by the government.
    1. Two individual bulkhead leafs forms one bulkhead.

The Contractor will be required to commence work upon receipt of contract award and complete the work 600 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed, this is subject to change after solicitation issuance.

The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000

The Primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for solicitation is 237990 – Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard for Small Business of $45M.
