Q:What ambient temperature is required for achieving the 61,000 Btu/hr cooling capacity? 

A:Unsure.  This is the capacity of our current units.

Q:Would a voltage of 230V, 1ph, 60Hz be acceptable?

A:Yes, but must have the required CS6365 plug and cord.

Q:The requirement specifies ECU dimensions of 65 inches long, 40 inches wide, and 55 inches tall but does not mention dimensional restrictions for the cart. Would total cart dimensions of 105.6” L x 67.5” W x 67.9” H be acceptable? If not, what are the Cart dimensions restrictions?  

A:Cart is dimensions is included in our requirements.  105.6 inches long will NOT work.

Q:When is the required delivery timeline?

A:  ASAP, but 1 May 2025 is acceptable

Q:Is the Government open to covering non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs for modifying an existing design to meet all requirements?

A:  No.

Eleven (11) each 5-Ton HVAC/ECU units MUST meet the following salient characteristics in order to be found to be technically acceptable; variations will not be accepted unless otherwise stated herein.
1. Minimum of 61,000 BTU/HR cooling capacity
2. Minimum of 2,000 CFM
3. ECU must have 14-inch diameter integrated supply and return connections (adaptations acceptable as long as all other salient characteristics are met).
4. Each unit must include a 14-inch diameter flexible supply duct and a 14-inch. diameter flexible return ducts with a means to securely attach to the inlet and outlet ports of the HVAC, each a minimum of 5-foot in length, no longer than 25 feet.
5. Equipped with integrated thermostat system/controller with a minimum of 20-foot cord.
6. Controller must be equipped with a protective case for transportation and storage when not in use must be provided for the thermostat/controller.
7. The connection between thermostat/controller and HVAC unit must be CAT 5 with RJ45 connectors
8. Each unit must be equipped with a metal frame cart
9. Cart must be steerable
10. Be equipped with an integrated braking system
11. Cart must enable the stacking of multiple HVAC units
12. Cart must include integrated top rack
13. Cart must include wheels/tires designed for, and capable of transportation on all terrain environments
14. Wheels/tires designed for hard surfaces are not acceptable
15. ECU total over dimensions must not exceed:
a. 65-inches long
b. 40-inches wide
c. 55-inches tall

16.ECU and all attachments must not exceed total overall weight of 700 pounds per unit
17. ECU must only accept Single phase 50A 125/250V power
18. ECU must include a minimum of a 30-foot and a maximum of 50-foot, UL-Rated power supply cord with 50A CS6365 plug
